Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is a Government Organization which conducts examinations and interviews every year to find suitable candidates for the various post available in the ministries and department of Government all over India. SSC Exam Dates 2017-2018, Selection Process and Exam Pattern:
As there are various post available, the selection process might be different for each grades and even the pattern of Exam may vary. The general selection process and exam pattern is mentioned here-
SSC Exam Dates 2017-2018 Selection Process: There are three main categories the organization conducts for the graduate level positions-
- Tier 1 – This is a kind of Preliminary exam with all the multiple choice questions.
- Tier 2- This is the mains exam with descriptive type questions.
- Tier 3- This is mainly for personality test or interview test.
The candidates who qualify Tier 1 will be appearing for tier 2 exams and finally based on the scores of the tier 2 the candidates are called for the tier 3 interview tests.
SSC Exam Dates 2017-2018 Exam Pattern:
The general exam pattern includes the following pattern:
- General Intelligence and Reasoning
- General Awareness
- Quantitative Aptitude
- English Language and comprehension
depending upon the Grade of the post the pattern accordingly varies as per the convenience of the education levels.

- Always check the eligibility criteria before applying for a post clearly.
- Registration Process should be completed so that there are hurdles in applying.
- Registration User ID and Password to be kept safely for future references.
- Complete the submission of application form before the last date.
