CUCET 2019: Eligibility Criteria, Application Form, Exam Pattern

The CUCET 2019 (Central Universities Common Entrance Test 2019) is conducted to provide admission to deserving applicants in PG, PG & Research programs. This examination is conducted jointly by 8 universities namely Universities of Jammu, Punjab, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Haryana, Kerala, Kashmir, Tamil Nadu & Jharkhand. The application process will start in the month of June 2019. The interested applicants can go through this article to get the important details about CUCET 2019.

CUCET 2019- Eligibility Criteria

There are 8 universities that are jointly conducting CUCET 2019. The eligibility criteria for each university are different for different courses. The eligibilities for different universities is as follows-

CUCET 2019- Important Dates

The applicants applying for CUCET 2019 examination should know the important dates. It will make the applicants aware of the happening of important events of the examination. The important dates for CUCET 2019 are given below

CUCET 2019- Application Form

The application forms can be downloaded from the month of April 2019. The applications can be submitted through online mode from the official website. All the details in the application forms should be genuine, in case of any discrepancy the application form will be rejected straight away. The payment of application fee is also a vital process to perform during application procedure.

CUCET 2019- Application Fee

The application fee can be paid either through online (via debit/credit card or net banking) or offline (via challan at any branch of SBI) mode. The application fee is as follows-

  • The application fee for General & OBC applicants is Rs. 700/-
  • The application fee for reserved categories is Rs. 350/-
  • The PWD applicants will be exempted from application fee.

CUCET 2019- Examination Pattern

Every official notification for an examination includes the examination pattern for that particular examination. Hence, the official notification of CUCET 2019 will also describe the examination pattern of the examination. However you can get the examination pattern in this article as well. The examination pattern for CUCET 2019 is-

  • The examination will be scheduled in 2 parts- Part A & Part B.
  • Part A will cover the topics from English Language, General Awareness, Mathematical Aptitude & Analytical Skills.
  • Part B will be divided into 3 sections consisting total 75 questions of MCQ type from domain knowledge.
  • The duration of the examination will be 2 hours.
  • The examination will be held through offline mode with Pen & Paper mode.
  • The examination will be conducted in OMR pattern.
  • The applicants will get 3 marks for each correct answer and there will be a penalty of 1 mark for each incorrect answer.

Examination Syllabus

The examination syllabus varies from course to course. The syllabus has been divided into 2 sections- Section A & Section B. Section A will cover the topics related to General awareness, Mathematical aptitude, English language & Analytical skills. Whereas, Section B will cover the topics related to the domain or course chosen by the applicants.

Admit Card

The admit cards for CUCET 2019 can be obtained from the official website in the 1st week of May 2019. The admit card will have all the important information related to the examination. It is compulsory to bring the admit card to the examination centre, without it you will not be allowed to write the examination.

CUCET 2019- Declaration of Result

The examination result of CUCET 2019 will be declared in 3rd week of June 2019 on successful completion of the examination. The result will also be released in the official website of CEED. The examination authority will prepare the merit list based on the scored marks by the applicants.

Cut Off

The cut off marks will be decided by the examination authority. It may vary from year to year. The cut offs depends on various factors such as No. of applicants, difficulty level of the examination, No. of available seats etc. The authority decides the cut off marks keeping in mind all these criteria.

CUCET 2019-Counseling Process

Once the merit list has been released, the counseling process will be performed. The eligible applicants will be called for counseling process based on the marks secured by the applicants. At the time of counseling process, the applicants will have to fill the preference of the colleges & courses. The available seats will be allotted to deserving applicants based on the ranks secured by them, preferences filled by them & number of available seats. The document verification process will also be performed at this stage of admission.
