Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT, Bombay) schedule CEED examination every year to provide admission in M.Des courses. CEED 2019 means Common Entrance Examination for Design 2019. It is a great opportunity for those applicants who want to pursue Master degree in designing from the best institutes such IITs, IISc etc. of the country. Application Form for CEED 2019
The applications can be submitted online from the official website of CEED starting from the month of October 2018. The applicants need to fill all the important details as required in the application forms. They also have to upload the scanned images of their photographs, signatures, category certificates & degree/diploma certificates. To complete the application procedure, the applicants need to pay the application fee. If an applicant fails to pay the application fee on or before the last date of submission of fee then he/she has to pay Rs. 500/- as late fee.

The application fee can be paid through online mode via debit/credit card or net banking. The application fee once paid will not be refunded in any circumstances.

Eligibility Criteria for CEED 2019
Every applicant should go through the eligibility criteria before applying for CEED 2019. When you go through the eligibilities, you will get to know whether you are eligible to apply for or not. The eligibilities for CEED 2019 are as follows-
- The applicants must have a degree/diploma/PG degree of 4 years or 3+2 years (after Higher Secondary). OR
- The applicants must have passed GD Arts Diploma program (10+5) by July 2018.
- The applicants who are appearing in qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for CEED 2019.
- There is no age limitation to apply for CEED 2019.
- The applicants can apply for CEED any number of times.
Examination Pattern for CEED 2019
The applicants who are applying for CEED 2019 should go through the examination pattern once. This will helps the applicants to study accordingly. The examination pattern for CEED 2019 has been mentioned below.
- CEED 2019 will be scheduled in 2 parts- Part A & B. The qualified applicants of Part A will only be allowed to take part in Part B. Part B is test the designing & drawing skills of the applicants.
- The question paper will be available in English only.
- The examination will be held through online mode.
- There will be total 50 questions of MCQ type in Part A. The question paper of Part A will have 3 sections.
- The duration of Part A will be 1 hour & for Part will be 2 hours.
- The applicants will get 2 marks for each correct answer. There will be a penalty of 0.6 marks for each incorrect answer in 1st & 3rd section of Part A.
The admit card will be available in the official website of CEED from the last week of December 2018. The applicants can download their admit card & take the print out of the same for future reference. The admit card has to be carried with the applicants on the day of examination otherwise they will not be allowed to write the examination.
Declaration of Result
The tentative date of result declaration is 2nd week of March 2019. The result will also be published in the official website. The applicants can check their result & download it for further reference. The merit list for short-listing the eligible applicants will be prepared based on Part B examination only.
The answer key will be released at the official website in the 4th week of January 2019. The final answer key will be published in the website in the 1st week of February 2019 after receiving comments on drafts Part A answer key.
Examination Syllabus for CEED 2019
CEED is an aptitude test which will be scheduled in 2 parts- Part A & Part B. For Part A, the applicants have to cover the topics such as Analytical & Logical Reasoning, Environmental & Social Awareness, Visualization & Spatial Ability, Design Thinking & Problem Solving, Language & Creativity, Observation & Design Sensitivity.
Whereas for Part B, the applicants have to focus on drawing skills, analytical & problem solving skills, creativity, communication skills.
The cut off marks are the minimum marks decided by the examination authority that applicants have to score to pass the examination. For CEED 2019 also the cut offs will be decided by the authority. The applicants who will score the cut off marks will be declared as qualified CEED 2019.
The counseling process will be held for the applicants who have score minimum cut off marks. On the basis of the cut off marks, the merit list will be prepared and applicants will get admission to the courses offered by the CEED 2019.
